ExaVault administration spans the web interface and the Appliance Manager. Use the web interface's Admin Settings for site appearance, terms, authentication policy, and other settings that affect users. Use the Appliance Manager at https://<your-appliance-hostname>:9002/ for licensing, hostname and network configuration, SMTP, Syslog, certificates, updates, and appliance restarts.

Customizing Your Site covers branding, the login page, contact information, custom CSS, and terms of use. License Keys, Installing or Updating an SSL Certificate, and Sending Email cover the external services and configuration the appliance needs to operate reliably.

Logging explains the difference between Activity records and appliance service logs. Use those records when investigating an account, transfer, background job, or appliance component before changing the system.

Some operations require access to the virtual console or SSH on port 10022. Restrict administrative ports at the firewall, follow the documented procedure for each operation, and use a maintenance window when a restart could interrupt active connections.
